The UNEP Global Mercury Partnership aims to protect human health and the global environment from the release of mercury and its compounds by minimising and, where feasible, ultimately eliminating anthropogenic mercury releases to air, water and land. The partnership is a voluntary and collaborative relationship consisting of stakeholders from governments, intergovernmental organisations, NGOs, private sector, academia and scientific community who are dedicated to reducing mercury pollution and protecting human health and the environment from the impacts of mercury.

By joining the efforts of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership, TAUW will bring connections to the partnership of a large number of experts focusing on mercury contaminated site management, who can bring value to the goals of the programme through several (international) projects.
